Sami Ahmed, the new MD of Startup Bangladesh
Sami Ahmed, ITES Policy Advisor, Department of Information and Communication Technology has been appointed as the Managing Director of Startup Bangladesh Limited. He officially took over and replaced Tina F. Jabin.
NM Zeaul Alam, senior secretary of the ICT department, officially handed over the appointment letter to him at the ICT Tower on Wednesday.
Prior to this appointment, Sami Ahmed joined Naz Enterprise in Boston, USA in 2005 and worked for three and a half years. In October 2012, he joined the Prime Minister's Office as a Technology Expert for Access to Information (now Innovate for All). He joined BASIS in 2014 as the Executive Director after holding the post for one year and eight months. He then joined the ICT department as an ITES Policy Advisor.
He was also the Head of Operations at Universal IT Limited and IT Consultant at REZ Systems.
